Happy Grandparent’s Day
to all the grandmothers and grandfathers out there! Today’s two companion
Doodles celebrate the relationships we have across generations. In creating
this Doodle, Olivia Huynh spent time thinking about the kinds of moments that
happen between grandparents and grandchildren. She decided to illustrate
activities that convey a sense of warmth and family togetherness. After
sketching out a couple of ideas including stargazing and reading, she
ultimately chose the two activities you see today. Getting a chance to use
ducks to form the Google logo was a bonus!
Today’s Doodle is meant
to thank and honor our grandparents for making us feel cared for and loved. We
hope you feel as special today as you’ve made us feel.
